This dual mandate included carrying out the quality control of the materials used for the construction of streets in the City of Lévis, as well as for the construction of a multi-storey residential building. The construction of the streets involved a lot of challenges due to the poor quality of the natural materials in place, which could hardly be compacted by their clayey nature. Special techniques were used to obtain a satisfactory compaction for the project designer. ​

The building’s construction projet, although simpler, presented a challenge in terms of its pace of construction and the tight schedule for its delivery. The harsh winter and the restricted work schedules established to reduce noise pollution for neighboring buildings did not allow the work to be carried out at the desired pace. The concrete pourings were carried out more quickly and the witnesses taken during these pourings were adequately analyzed to allow the floors to be stripped quickly to pour the subsequent stages more quickly. ​

As part of the construction work, Cloria Terrebonne SEC sought the professional expertise of Nvira to carry out the quality control of the materials used in the construction of a building of 124 units in Montreal.​

Our mandate consisted mainly in carrying out the control of materials on site and in the laboratory during construction of the residential building and exterior fittings. We carried out the control of the excavation beds, the control of the backfilling and concreting work, the control of the paving work, the verification of the verticality of the columns, the torque of the bolts as well as the metal decking of the 5th floor. ​

Our mandate was to ensure the quality control of materials on site and in the laboratory for the complete repair of the section of rue Principale in Saint-Apollinaire.​

We carried out the approval of the materials and the verification of the installation of the aqueduct, the sanitary sewer, the storm sewers, the backfill, the infrastructure, the concrete, and the asphalt concrete.​
